The forgotten story of the war in the Betuwe.Betuws War Museum The Island opened in 1999 and covers the area of the Betuwe during the years 1944 – 1945. A total of 16 different nationalities were fighting in this area. A lot of objects are donated in 45 years by veterans and the local population. Many of the objects in the Museum have a story. The bringing the history of the Betuwe, during 1944 – 1945 to life.
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
